Terms and Conditions

  • Payment must be immediately after the job is completed on the same day and the customer is happy with the job. If there is any issue with the job, you need to explain and ask how we can sort it out.
  • Carpet Town! reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the customer’s original requirements change.
  • Some floor defects, repairs or additional work that is needed, may not be visible during the site visit or during the measurement. These can often be seen only once the job commences, and/or carpets, underlay, existing flooring, building equipment are removed or the subfloor level is assessed to be not good for installation once the area is cleared from furniture/floor coverings.
  • Carpet Town! reserves the right to amend the quotation under these circumstances.
  • Moisture issues related to the subfloor and surrounding walls not visible or not disclosed during our visit, measurement or quotation are also excluded from the quotation.
  • You agree that we may charge interest on all invoices not paid within 5 working days from the invoice date at the rate of 8% until full and final payment of the relevant invoice.
  • You agree to pay our reasonable and proper cost of services of invoices not paid within five working days from the invoice date.
  • Prices are included GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices are fixed for 3 months.
  • Payment terms are 28 days for net from date of invoice unless otherwise stated (regular business customers only). When working with a new customer, it will be at the discretion of The Carpet Town as to whether a deposit is required before commencement of work on site. Subsequent contracts may also be subject to the payment of a deposit.
  • All goods remain the property of The Carpet Town until paid for in full.
  • Costs given are for continuous working during normal hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm).
Costs subject to verification of site re-measure where applicable.
  • Trimming of doors are excluded unless otherwise arranged or agreed.
  • Additional materials to be charged as agreed.
  • Our quotation includes for work as detailed only. Any changes or additions to the description hereto will be charged accordingly.
  • Our quotation is based on cleared areas only unless stated. Although we will be pleased to help with or around heavy objects, this must be a prior arrangement; otherwise, a further labour charge may be made.
  • Carpet Town accepts no responsibility for damage to property not moved or whilst being moved.
  • The customer is responsible for re-routing of all cables, wires etc. that may run across the sub floor before installation of new floor covering. If this prevents an installation proceeding on a booked installation date, this could incur a cancellation charge or waiting time charge. Carpet Town accepts no responsibility for damage to wires or cables during installation.
  • Please note; if we are working through a main contractor for a third party, this term overrides all other considerations and maintains the goods as the property of The Carpet Town are to incorporate this condition within its terms and conditions with their customers.
  • Carpet Town reserves the right to levy a surcharge of $550 per day if the Customer changes an installation date within seven days of the agreed date.
Order is subject to written confirmation and/or order number.
  • Receipt of order or deposit payment on the contract will be an agreement of Terms and Conditions of Carpet Town.
  • Contract is also our word for Estimate / Quotation.
  • On site work the main contractor will be responsible for providing lights, electricity and clear access.
  • On site the main contractor if required will make provisions for safe and secured storage of the flooring products and at all times will be responsible for the health and safety of our operatives on their site.
    On completion of floor installation, the customer or site representative will sign off the work verbally or written.
  • Once sign off has occurred you are agreeing to the satisfaction of work completed.
If there are any disputes with the work carried out the work must not be signed off.
  • Sign off is at customer’s discretion. Any damages or marks found in the floor that have been caused by the installers will only be rectified if pointed out to the installers before the customer has signed off work, any damages noticed after this time i.e. the following day, will be assumed to be the fault of the customer and will not be rectified.
Carpet Town reserves the rights to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time.


  • If the customer requests keys to be collected by Carpet Town operatives from an address outside the postal code of the Client’s address than a $50.00 charge will apply. The charge will cover only the pick-up of the keys. If said keys need to be returned back to the pickup address or any other address another charge of $50.00 will apply.
  • If any estimates of how long it will take the operatives to do the job required are being provided, that is only an estimate based on the average time it takes for such service from our previous experience and of similar size to the customer’s; it’s being difficult to estimate precisely how long it may take due to specific obstacles and that a degree of flexibility may be required.
  • The Customer understands that the price he/she has been quoted is not for a “package deal” and does not include anything apart from services included in the quote.
  • Lift and dispose of existing flooring/ carpets, underlays, grippers, tiles, wooden floors or laminates/ is not included in the quotation, unless specifically stated. The quotation excludes the clearing of debris created by tradesmen or building work unless otherwise stated. Our operatives will clear and dispose of all rubbish created during the works.
  • The Client is responsible to ensure that the areas are completely empty of furniture and/or appliances unless previously agreed with the Company and included in the Quotation. If our installers move the furniture at their discretion due to Health and Safety, they will not move the furniture back, because of the drying of the floor sealer.
  • Carpet Town! shall arrange an immediate replacement an operative should attend a scheduled visit and will inform the customer prior to the visit.
  • All fragile and highly breakable items must be secured or removed.
  • The customers shall ensure that all valuables are stored away when work is carried out and that the property is supervised by the customer or his representative at all times during the course of the work. Carpet Town ! shall not be responsible for the Clients failure to comply with this obligation.
  • Carpet Town! reserves the right to make any changes to any part of these Terms and Conditions without giving any prior notice. We may add to or alter these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any alterations or additions will apply to new business but not to existing contracts. Please refer to your copy of these Terms and Conditions.
  • The Customer has to ensure that there are no other trades working or walking in the area where our operatives work. Failure to ensure this will result in time delays and additional charges.
  • The customers agrees that Carpet Town has the right to take photos during the site visits and the works for marketing purposes and legal disputes – free from any personal details. The Company owns the copyright.
  • All phone conversations may be recorded for fraud prevention and to maintain better quality of service.
  • All quotation provided by the Company includes a reference to the complete contents of these Terms & Conditions.

Exemptions & Limitation of Service Warranty:

  • Service Warranty cannot be provided for services not paid in full on completion, as per the final invoice(s).
  • Does not cover damage made by third party service; leaks or damp caused by faulty appliance; increased air humidity or increased subfloor moisture levels, which have appeared after the floor installation.
  • Does not cover floor installation in areas with humidity issues and high moisture levels.
  • Does not cover gaps on flooring as a result of increased humidity levels, unstable environment, where there is a previous history of large gaps appearing on the floor, subfloor structural or moisture issues.
  • Does not cover squeaks or issues arising from the subfloor, where the subfloor preparation was not part of the quote provided.
  • Does not cover works on floor coverings, which are at the end of their usability term.
  • Our Service warranty does not cover any additional work agreed with an operative on-site except within the Quotation received by the Client without being approved by Carpet Town in writing.
  • The Service warranty will be void if the Customer enters in additional work agreement regardless of the type of work with an Operative of Carpet Town without written approval.
  • Our Service warranty for Engineered timer, Hybrid, laminate and vinyl flooring, Carpet or any other product is limited to the warranty provided by the manufacturer of the product. We will only cover service and material faults for accessories within 3 months of installation.


  • All Carpet Town! service quotes are inclusive of GST unless otherwise specified on the Quotation provided.


  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the company immediate payment of any remaining unpaid balance on the completion of the works.
  • Payments are accepted in cash, bank transfer or by debit/credit card.
  • All cheques should be made payable to Carpet Town!
  • Although greatly appreciated and a powerful way to say ‘Thank you’, the customers understands that tipping is not required.
  • Carpet Town! reserves the right to charge interest on invoiced amounts unpaid for more than 30 days at the rate of 8% per annum from the due date until the date of actual payment.
  • Carpet Town! reserves the right to register for Debt Collectors any payments not received within a maximum of – 30 days for Businesses and 14 days for Residential customers.
  • Additional charges in respect to Debt Collection registration will include – relevant current court fees and solicitor’s fees, plus legal admin fee, plus late payment charge and interest claim at rate pointed at Carpet Town! reserves the right to cancel any contract and back charge for completed services, to adjust the balance according to standard rate(s), if any false or misleading information was provided, which has resulted in a discount on services.
  • The rates of payment by Carpet Town! shall stay as agreed on the quotation provided between the Company and the customer, or their representative. The customer shall make no reduction or retention from the invoice unless agreed between the Company and the customer.
  • Payment for flooring, underlays, thresholds and other required materials and mouldings are required at the time of booking of service, the stock is only released on cleared funds. Any current discounts & offers will be applied to the final invoice. Please pre-book you’re flooring in advance, as availability is subject to current stock.
  • Unless otherwise agreed a deposit payment is required before starting the project. The deposit payment is not refundable if the Client decides to cancel the project after operatives arrived on site. The Company shall not be obliged to begin the work until the deposit has been paid.
  • In the case of breach of contractual terms between Carpet Town and The Customer by The Customer agreeing or receiving additional services without being approved by Carpet Town all sums quoted are immediately due.
  • Carpet Town reserves the right to terminate any ongoing works.
